Reaction animations for RCS (2018)

The Brief :
RCS - Rich Communication services
Create various types of reaction to messages
Inspired by Apple’s iMessage, the task was to design and animate in Samsung's messages app theme, few types of react to certain messages
Some of the expressions that were explored, include :
Happy, Sad, Angry, Good morning, Rainy day, celebration
Emoji animations were used to communicate happiness, sadness and anger.
Colours were used to convey mood
Enhance expressions in UX for messaging

A deeper understanding about messaging systems within handsets across multiple OS.
Better understanding about requirement and audience perception about messaging platforms

The Brief :
To create notification animation that celebrates the galaxy devices curved screen around the edge. Or waterfall display of Samsung handsets during 2017-2020 time period

Learnings :
This was my first experience on working towards commercialization.
It taught me end to end, the journey from concepting to actually delivering final assets
My Role:
As a UX Designer and motion graphics designer, I was tasked to animate these notification animations, collaborate with developers and engineers to tackle technical hurdles and ensure that users get a smooth and satisfying edge lighting experience
